Intertwined, main conflict

the main conflict in Gena Showalter's Intertwined is as follows: Mary Ann has "befriended" a werewolf who can speak inside her mind. Later on after school; after being escorted to school earlier that morning by the werewolf, she is confronted by him again. this time he has her pinned against a tree, at which time Aden finds Mary Ann and the werewolf and questions Mary Ann, asking her if the werewolf is trying to hurt her. The werewolf wants Aden to go away but he won't say it directly to Aden. We don't know why quite just yet, but I am sure we will find out. After refusing to leave, Aden pulls the daggers from his boots, shocking Mary Ann into wondering what she has gotten in to. Who will come out victorious in this battle? Will there even be a battle? What if Aden showing his weapons is just a way to threaten the werewolf to leave?

  1. Great questions, Matt! Does the author seem to be making the story too complex you think? or, do you like all the ins and outs coming into play now?

  2. Well, at first I didn't think the book would be that good because of the whole vampires and werewolves thing. Twilight has already kind of ruined that, Twilight is good though, just not as good as Intertwined is with a different variety of other creatures. All in all, the story is great and I do enjoy it a lot.
