Journal Topic Individualized Reading
I feel that the main character in Intertwined; Aden Stone, and I share similar qualities. For example, neither him nor I take very well to threats. When Ozzie grabs him, Aden really wants to fight back, but the voices in his head tell him not to or he will lose his chance at public school and seeing Mary Ann Gray. When I get angry and I want to fight back, the voice in my head; or my conscience, tells me not to because of the possible consequences. Another similarity that isn't so much a quality is that Aden has been around to different towns and cities going from juvie to "wayward homes". I have also been to many different towns and cities. Probably not as many as Aden and definitely not to "wayward homes" or juvie, but I've moved around a lot.

I think you'll like this book, Matt. Like you said, I can see a few similarities between you and Aiden. What are some other specific details of Aiden's personality that you've noticed? It would be interesting to see your analysis of Aiden after you get into the book a little further.
ReplyDeleteI'm not much further into the book, but I didn't expect there to be a werewolf. much less Aiden showing up by Mary Ann and the werewolf and pulling his daggers out. I think this is somewhat of a similarity between him and I because he wants to protect Mary Ann, I am also protective of my friends. maybe not to the extent of pulling daggers from my boots, but I would fight someone if I had to.
